Description on YouTube: "Master instructor Taylor Darnley trains former NBA player Darren McCLinton on TRX."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itl2MzGkLFw

While researching players who have played in Croatian league finals I saw Darren McLinton's name. He played for Cibona Zagreb in season 2002/03, for several months. I wanted to know more about him, no Wikipedia profile on him, very little info on the Internet. It looks like that YouTube description is wrong, his name is Darren McLinton, not McClinton. And he never played in the NBA.

" Dr. Chris Jones earned his B.S. Degree from Carson-Newman College, where he was honored as the Eagles’ first All-American in any sport in 1962. After graduation, he played professional basketball for the Cincinnati Royals in the NBA and the Kansas City Steers in the ABA."

Drafted, yes; played no.

One of the most hyperbolic phantom NBA careers:

From inmaricopa.com:

" Nicholas Sheppard is hoping to take his game from the court and classroom to city hall. Sheppard, a teacher and coach who moved to Maricopa 2012, played eight years in the NBA with the Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz, LA Lakers and Toronto Raptors."

I was surprised he even made it to a couple of training camps. I'm a Suns fan and I've never heard of him!

Yes, he played in the ABA - but not in the NBA (drafted bu Bucks but didn't play for them).
