Raptor point guards Calderon & Lowry combined for 22 assists & zero points in a 102-79 win over the Blazers last nite.
They shot a combined 0-for-3 from the field.

Last night, Kobe Bryant had 38 points and had zero rebounds. This is far from the record: In 2002, he scored 61 without getting any rebounds.
Steve Nash had one board, so in 80 combined minutes they totaled 1 rebound and 50 points.

According to Elias:

In the New Year's Night game, "the Hawks made only four of their eight free-throw attempts, while the Hornets made just four of 12. Put them together and you get a combined free-throw percentage of 40 percent (eight made in 20 attempts), the lowest in any of the 49,000-plus NBA regular-season games played since the league introduced the 24-second shot clock in the fall of 1954."

On Sunday, all of Ryan Anderson's shots were 3-point attempts (he made 7). That ties a record (most 3-pt attempts in a game with zero 2 pt attempts). Previously done by Mookie Blaylock & Voshon Loeonard.

Kings backcourt mates Isaiah Thomas and John Salmons had identical totals last night: 23 points, 1 rebound, 6 assists, 2 steals, 0 blocks, 2 turnovers, 1 foul.
Together they made all of their 20 free throws, while the entire opponent (Hou) team went 13-17.

In Orlando, point guard Jameer Nelson made just 4 of 18 shots (FG), while his counterpart for Portland, Damian Lillard, hit 1 of 16.
Nelson totaled 10 points, to 4 for Lillard, and Orlando won 110-104.

The Celtics last night scored only 19 points in consecutive quarters
yet managed to win the game. In the second quarter they had 11
and only 8 in the third quarter. This is the second time in the past
two days that a team scored single digits in a quarter yet won.
The Lakers were held to 9 in the third quarter on Tuesday yet
defeated the Suns.

Before hitting a trey with 8:18 to go in the first quarter of last night's game, what player had connected on just one of his previous 37 3-point attempts?

Last night, the Nets' Reggie Evans had 10 points and 10 rebounds in the first quarter.
Anyone know the last time someone has had a double-double by the end of the 1st Q ?

I found 2 games by Dwight Howard:
Mar 25, 2009 vs. Boston
1st Q: 12p-10r
game: 24p-21r

Feb 8, 2012 vs. Miami
1st Q: 11p-10r
game: 25p-24r

Not a line per se but Greg Graham made 5 of 11 threes (.454545) in games when he took more than one three, but just 1 from 17 (.058824) when attempting only one in the 94-95 campaign.

1st Q: 12p-10r
game: 24p-21r

Feb 8, 2012 vs. Miami
1st Q: 11p-10r
game: 25p-24r

That's funny; the Yahoo game recap had this note at the bottom:
"The last NBA player to have a double-double by the end of the first quarter was the Lakers' Dwight Howard against Miami on Feb. 8."
The Lakers were at Charlotte on Feb. 8, and Dwight had 12 pts, 11 reb for the game.
Orlando, with Dwight Howard, thumped Miami on Feb. 8 of last year.
As gorba reports, he had 25-24 in that game, so I'm inclined to believe that date.

Following a 9-of-16 performance from the arc on Friday, Steph Curry hit 7 of 13 on Monday. With one game remaining, he's hit 268 3-pointers this year. The single-season record is 269, by Ray Allen in 2005-06.
Both players will have set their marks in 78 games played.

Ray hit .412 from the arc that year, and Curry is at .455 this year.
Curry is .447 for his career, which is 2nd best all-time -- after Steve Kerr (.454) who made 726 in his regular seasons.
Curry, age 24, has 640 already. Five guys had more by this age, but nobody has more in their first 4 seasons.

The Warriors will be making their 2nd playoff appearance in 19 seasons.

This season, 12 players had games where the box score showed nothing for them except the 5 minutes they played. Four had games of 6 minutes & nothing else. Two had games with 8 minutes & the rest zeros. So for today's trivia question: who had an 11-minute game with nothing else showing up in the box score?

Harvey Pollack usually lists these in his annual yearbook. He calls it the Trillion Club, a term originated
by Scott Hastings since the players' stat lines have 15 zeroes following their minutes total.
In his 2012-13 book the alltime leader from 1993-2012 is Mario West with 79 occurrences.
Second on the list, surprisingly, is Steve Novak with 46.

How about this for unusual lines?: The brothers Holiday (Jrue & Justin) shot 3-for-29 for the 6ers @ Charlotte on 4/3. (Jrue: 2-for-24, Justin 1-for-5)

In what will likely be forever known as The Nate Robinson Game, the mighty mite scored 34 points for the Bulls, in 28:32 of playing time.
It's just the 13th time (since 1986) in a playoff game that someone has scored more than 30 points, in less than 30 minutes.
Eddie Johnson did it twice, with Seattle and with Houston.

Of the 13 performances, 11 came in wins, and 11 were also at home.
The 2 that were on the road were the two losses.

The best one may be Kirk Hinrich (Chi vs Was), 34 pts in 24 minutes, 8 years ago on this date. He had 18 tonight, before Nate took over.

Celtics Paul Pierce and Jason Terry combined to make 9 of 17 shots from the arc last night.
They also went 3-18 from inside the arc, and no free throws.

The Pacers' DJ Augustin came off the bench and hit 4 3-pointers in just 13 minutes, in the opening game of the 2nd round series vs the Knicks.
This just misses qualifying for most 3's in fewest minutes in a playoff game.
