Pelicans one game record

Postby luckyshow » Sun Apr 22, 2018 7:36 am

It only has taken me this long to realize I don't have the Pelicans single-game scoring records progression on my franchise by franchise records pagesibly due to the nearly convoluted history vis a vis Char;otte. I was jostled to this realization by Anthony Davis franchise playoff record yesterday. In essence I only need one as research would get the rest. Who holds the regular season such record? And since this franchise transported their Charlotte records to the current Hornets, I actually need those early Charlotte Hornets as well as mow they only begin in 2004.

Click on the Date header to sort chronologically. Tripucka scored 40 on 12-14-88.
He scored 24 on 11-08

But that was the 3rd game of the season. On opening night, he and Rambis each got 16; next game, Brian Rowsom had 16.

So the powers that be decided the current Hornets franchise ceased to exist for 2 years, 2003 and '04; while Baron Davis, Mashburn, PJ Brown, Elden Campbell, David Wesley, and others were all traded (for nothing) to the future Pelicans, who happened for some years to call themselves Hornets.

The inaugural proto-Pelicans won 47 games, which is historically great for a franchise in it's debut season. Nobody knew they were an expansion team, since the league hadn't gotten the 30th team just yet.

If a Chinese league opens a team in Cincinnati and calls them the Royals, does that make Oscar Robertson suddenly Asian?

I may not break out the "records" for the named team, Pelicans from 2014 to Davis' 59, not important

NO Bobcats/Hornets

43 Stephen Jackson 1/12/2010 Bobcats 102-94 Houston Rockets
52 kemba Walker 1/18/2016 Hornets 124-119 Utah JAzz

I probably won't do the "records" just for the name Hornets since 2014

How can I do just the playoff records so to show Anthony Davis recent record 46? I note these were intermixed with regular season stats on these lists.

An addition to the idea of an Asian Big O, there would also be a history of the Kings going back to Rochester that would have a hole in it where the Cincy numbers were transferred to the new team. Same would happen if a new team was put in Kansas City or Omaha

It would be funny if the Raiders did this just for their Oakland seasons without reassigning the LA years.

I have a fluid view on these areas, sometimes following the franchise shifts, sometimes the nickname shifts. For instance see this Brooklyn Dodgers football page as to the 1940s where the owner and many players changed leagues and became the NY Yankees in the AAFC, but on this page, I list the new AAFC Brooklyn Dodgers. Yet I have 4 different New York Yankees football pages (which doesn't even count the New York Yanks football team)
http://www.luckyshow.org/football/BkDodgers.htm

And there is another Brooklyn Dodgers football page for the mid 1960s minor league team.

At the b-r.com site, click on "show/hide search form".
There you can switch between "regular season", "playoffs", and "either".

You can change the franchise, sort for any stat, etc.
Click on the column header "date" to sort chronologically.
