Re: Expectations / advice for the Bucks
Read the article. Weird that Schoene is so wildly different than stats / metrics to date. but I guess it is projecting 2-3 years into future, not next season and has its beliefs about aging and similars. We'll see. Schoene wins estimate measures production not per minute productivity. Super high mi...

Re: (Adjusted) Impact on Win Probability
You simply replace the scoring margin with changes of the win probability in the response vector (usually named y). And then you run the regression normally. In that way you get win probabilities instead of APM values for each player. The interpretation would actually be that a player would raise/l...

Re: The popularization of BPM
DSMok1 can you explain why DRB% has a negative coeficient?
That seems counterintuitive since DRB traditionally were regarded as something positive in bball and necessary for championchips ''No rebounds,no rings""

Re: 1952-2014 statistical rankings of 708 NBA/ABA careers
I can't believe that you are wasting your time with a well known lebron fanboy like huevonkiller.to see his maipulations to proclaim his favorite player as the GOAT look no further than this. In their prime, in the postseason through age 30, by WS and WS/48: 2010 LeBron > 1988 Jordan 2012 LeBron > 1...

Re: Steals, RAPM and Ignoring Position
Your numbers seem off. This is what Kevin Pelton had to say about steals and RAPM. I trust Pelton because he has works for an NBA team and has a good reputation with the numbers. According to him, steals are one of the most valuable stats. Larceny isn't typically a desirable characteristic in a mat...
