How to calculate PDR and IDR?

Hi!!!

I would like to know if I can calculate PDR (Perimeter Defense Ratings) and IDR (Interior Defense Rating) if you only have data from boxscore and shot chart. Is that possible? What are the formulas? Any article which explaine how to make the calculus?

I use python to scrapping data from web and to make calculus in backend. But I have used R to create statistics graphics.

I think the best language is python that let you do whatever you want. But R are very interesting and is good to know it too.

Everything depends what do you want to do.
