Re: NBA.com Statscube

Thank you Crow. Any idea where I can get the info that they had last year? Would a synergy subscription do the trick, you think?

NBA.com Statscube

Does anyone know where this went or what it was replaced with? I used to love looking at the team vs. team pages and all of the synergy stats available.

Thank you.

Re: Durant's On/Off Rates?

By this version of adjusted +/- (which accounts for the quality of all opponents and teammates on the court with him), second article down here: http://talkingpracticeblog.com/ Durant is estimated to be worth +4.2 points per 100 possessions. By another measure IPV, as explained in first article, he...

Durant's On/Off Rates?

I was perusing 82games and is Durant really only worth +1.1 points to his team over 100 possessions?

On Court / Off Court stats

On Court: +8.4
OFF Court: +7.2
Net: +1.1

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Pace Rating discrepencies

… I'm guessing it's a possessions per 48 vs. possessions per game thing This is what I was thinking too. Team Ranking says per game while bball-ref is per 48, so that could be part of it. Bball-ref is the only one where I could (with a brief search) find any kind of methodology (http://www.basketba...

Pace Rating discrepencies

Why do NBA Stuffer and Basketball Reference have one pace rating for a team, while Hollinger and NBA.com have another pace rating for the same team and Team Rankings has yet another pace rating for the same team? E.G. Philadelphia 76ers Pace Rating: NBA Stuffer & Basketball Reference: 99.8 NBA.c...

Synergy Sports misload?

How are the Lakers ranked “very good” in so many defensive categories? Did Synergy load the wrong team information?

Re: BR Defensive Ratings????

….. The theory behind DRTG is pretty solid, in my opinion, but for it to be somewhat reliable in a single game it needs more information that's not available in the boxscore like on-floor team stats. Incorporating counter-part statistics could also help refine the individual D component of the rati...

BR Defensive Ratings????

How does Basketball Reference give Avery Bradley a defensive rating of 102 and James Harden a defensive rating of 96 for last nights game?

Does anyone know of a better site to check out specific game defensive ratings?

Thank you.

Re: Boxscore Data question

Thank you very much Crow. That is the best alternative that I have seen yet. I was familiar with the site but not how to get to the areas you pointed out.

Much appreciated.

Boxscore Data question

Does anyone know where to find NBA individual game box score data where they provide information on # of shots attempted at the rim, between 3-9 feet, etc.. like "Hoopdata" used to have? http://www.hoopdata.com/boxscore.aspx?id=330417004 If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it...
