Re: most improved 2014-15

I believe something similar happened w/ his last deal too.

Re: Top 2015 free agent values?

Middleton was my first thought, to me he's Draymond Green quality at a much lower likely price. I'd add Wes Matthews due to his unfortunate injury, that may cost him but benefit a team. I could also see Amir Johnson being paid on a reasonable deal.

Re: My side-project: recappd.com

Very cool, I like this a lot for a quick boxscore, especially the color codes, great work! I may post this over on RealGM to show some people.

Re: Um...Chad?

This is both really pointless and completely hilarious. Its also something easy to find out and kind of troubling in its lack of journalistic integrity. I'd have to think ESPN would do or say something here.

Re: Front Porch (for casual chat)

Cool, lots of OKC fans! You guys are more than welcome over on RealGM, I mod the OKC board and the player comparisons board gets a ton of stats talk, its why I came here too. I'm an OKC fan also, and OU fan; I'm from Norman, OK. I'm comfortable that the Thunder will make the playoffs; just not sure ...

Re: Thoughts on the top eastern teams

I liked Toronto, but they've exceeded my expectations thus far. I put them in the top tier with Chicago and the Cavs. The Wizards are another pleasant surprise, but I just don't see them beating any of the top 3 in the postseason. Beal is still too young, and I don't trust Nene's health. They've als...

Re: Changing the Detroit Pistons

Smith's minutes need to drop, and Meeks has been hurt which should in theory help the shooting. Jodie Meeks' career TS% is .571, and last year it was .601 -- he had ORtg of 112, 23 pts/100 poss, including 2.3 3FG on .401 3fg%. These are all better (or much better) than the team averages. How would ...

Re: Front Porch (for casual chat)

You know I'm another OKC fan, feel a bit better within 3 games of the 8 seed. As for college ball, I watch, but am a Penn State alum/fan, the team looks better than usual, maybe NIT this season. I

Re: Changing the Detroit Pistons

To me, he should have done more already, and is stuck now. I would have moved Smith (rumors said the Kings were interested and would have given something around smaller deals/expirings), resigned Monroe and tried to trade Jennings in season. He kept Smith and let Monroe sign the QO, I think Monroe g...

Re: Trade speculation

For OKC, I'd be interseted in Smith and Dalembert for Perkins.

Stephenson as well, but they wouldn't have a realistic offer.

Re: The forum might be better if...

Yep, I'd agree with Crow. I felt that way, as I'm no statistician (nothing beyond a college stats course and that was years ago), I just enjoy the topics at hand here and speak when I feel I can. Everyone here is very welcoming, no need to be intimidated! :D

Re: The Missing Piece of the Three Pointer Debate

The problem with this missing piece though is that limiting 3s doesn't mean more shots at the basket either. Nylon Calculus just put up a piece yesterday: http://nyloncalculus.com/2014/10/22/numbers-to-know-49-46-memphis-grizzlies-byron-scott-los-angeles-lakers-mid-range/ Likely nearly all those 3s ...

Re: Predictions 2014-2015

Wow, looking at the RPM estimates that would have to be a record (or close) for gap between 1 and 2 seeds I would think at 13 games. I assume OKC is factoring in Durant's injury?
