I just read basketball on paper and would like to calculate the defensive rating (DRtg) for players on my team this year.

I have read some websites (audacity of hoops as well as others) and I cannont figure out how to calculate the TMDRtg.

The equation in the book basketball on paper says that I need the TMDRtg to get the DRtg but does not explain how I get the TMDRtg.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure team DRTG that you're looking for is just points given up per 100 possessions. Pretty simple.
