By DARKO projection, Scottie Barnes is 286th with a this season change in bottom 3% of league. Last season he got to about neutral but this season the projection has constantly declined to -1 and with an accelerating rate of descent.

The Raptors are even thinner at C this year than last year, so both Barnes and Siakam have been filling that role since Precious went down. I don't know if this is why Barnes is shooting worse at every distance, but that's about the only change in his stats. He's getting more assists this year!
FWIW, his on-off was -2 last year and +1 this year. His backups are worse now?

He's been incredibly worse on the road this season -- not so, last year.

Bol Bol has gotten 3 times as much playing time in less that half a season than he got in 3 years in Denver.

Didn't fit Nuggets rotation or timeline. Given away for very little.

Brunson barely made my latest top-20, and only Haliburton among those long shots.

Bane is modestly improved but way behind last year's WS and VORP. Does that matter?
Edwards, despite lots of minutes is barely on pace to reach last year in those stats.
Maxey has missed half the season and is down in every summary stat! But he is taking more shots.
Simons' minutes are up, and that's about it.

Are these names just pulled at random? or from someone's favorite team?
How do they manage to overlook De'Aaron Fox? and others who have rocketed into AllStar contention?

This resolves the Lillard dilemma of comparing him to a very down year. It also rewards players who have longer careers that suddenly have improved, over the younger guys.
For sure by this analysis others would be in the top 20. But the top 10 or so may still be intact.
