It's about time you upgraded this place Kevin! The pro silver theme is great. And there are post icons!!

Sad to see that everything was lost, but hey, we still have our health. A good cleansing can be healthy. So for all of you doing good work, fill this board up with it!!

I see that "pppbasketball" is a new website.

I'll look around a bit.

Rob, your Harmful Players article on Bargnani was the first thing that drew me.

Your use of Raw Scoring Quotient (RSO) and Raw Creation Quotient (RCQ) and Raw Rebound Quotient (RRQ) are all parts of an aggressively contingent - contextual perspective / model.

I noticed your splitting the value of the assist heavily in favor of the receiver, probably further than I've toyed with in discussions with Evan at his site.

I look forward to seeing any other such choices and what the use of all of them does to player value within teams and across the league. These may be stat choices that others will want to look at and comment separately and as a whole approach.

I see the potential or hint of trying to look beyond harmful players to types and organization thinking that produces or fails to prevent the harmful types and players. I'll come back to read more on this topic.

I'll probably check out the podcasts as I have time.

Always good to have new blogs sprout up with almost-daily content. It seems like there have been several must-read sites that have been launched this season and great new resources to boot. I'm looking forward to the day where more is written about basketball statistics than I can reasonably read in that day. Or even more than Crow can read.

Thanks. Yeah, please do check out the podcasts - we want to have some guests too, now that we're in a regular groove. If any APBRmetrician wants to participate, we would love to have you!

A little late to the party here, but ... wow. This is very depressing.

Thanks to Crow for salvaging whatever is left in the various web caches. Like Steve said, all anyone can do is roll up their metaphorical sleeves and rebuild.

SMH when I think of everything that was lost. :(

I no longer have any reservations or objections about an archive section if it can be set up and if threads can be moved there. Another option would be to be sticky threads that should be stickied long-term and even some that might be stickied temporarily to keep current topics on topic (say any truly new thread gets stickied for a week?)
