Offensive and defensive efficiency notably worse with Rondo on court than with him off this season. Team eFG% slightly worse.
High rate of jump shot (mid-range) assists.

Jordan Crawford in about the top 15% of league on long 2 attempts (16-23 feet) per minute and well below average from that distance this season.

Portland's starting lineup with their best players (called by some a good starting lineup or even "as good as any") is -4 pts per 100 possessions this season. Change out Hickson for Babbitt and they are 32 points better, albeit in short perhaps fluky minutes. Short testing of any alternative- no other lineup averages 3 minutes per game for the season. I'd definitely change the starting lineup (to something else), for next season or now.

The Mavs are led in minutes and scoring by OJ Mayo, who did not start a game last year for the Grizz.
The Rockets' Omer Asik started 2 games in 2 years for the Bulls, and this year he leads the league in rebounds.
The Clippers' #2 in minutes and scoring, Jamal Crawford, has not started a game.
The Hornets' Greivis Vasquez had started 27 games in 2 years, and he leads the league in assists.
The Knicks' JR Smith has not started a game, and he leads the team in minutes.
Tyson Chandler is a close 2nd, 4 years after being the #6 man for the Bobcats.
In 440 minutes over the last 25 games, Steve Novak has not had a turnover.
Orlando's Nikola Vucevic was completely out of Philly's rotation in the playoffs last year -- not from injury -- and this year he leads the Magic in rebounds and blocks, 2nd in scoring and minutes.
Last year's Sixers 6th-man Evan Turner now leads the team in minutes.
The Suns' minutes leader is Goran Dragic who only in his 4th year (2012) started getting more than 18 mpg. He also leads the team in points, assists, and steals.
Blazers' starters have played 71% of the team's minutes and have 96% of the eWins. Even a bigger portion of Win Shares.
Tim Duncan has by far his career highest Blocks rate; and a near-lowest foul rate.
Only Manute Bol and Ben Wallace have had a season with a better Blk/PF ratio.
Martell Webster leads the Wizards in minutes, going 28 per game. Shooting .624 TS% with career bests in several areas.

I can confirm that Rondo has been in decline all season, both offensively and defensively he has dropped off. His assist rate is very misleading as, as you point out, he makes more low-value assists and fewer three and close assists. Whilst he is still viewed as extremely elite by the league, he isn't in the top five points in the game, with Paul, Westbrook, Parker, Lowry, Curry, Kidd and Robinson all performing at a higher level.

Knicks get almost half their points off 3 point shots and free throws combined, the most in the NBA. Rockets a close second then a gap back to the 3rd place Lakers. Thunder 5th highest, Heat 11th, Spurs 12th. Celtics 24th. Grizzlies last place.
76ers highest in total mid-range shots to date. About 225% of the lowest team, the Rockets. Celtics 4th highest. Lakers 6th lowest total mid-rangers. Heat 10th lowest. Thunder just slightly below league average.
The Heat are
by far the best performing team on +/- per minute for last 5 minutes of game by a margin of more than 2-1 over 2nd best (Bucks). Spurs 9th, Thunder 10th. Griz 3rd, Pacers 6th. Nuggets 6th, Bulls 8th. Of course behavior in and quantity of blowout situations may vary and may affect the results but this seems like a really strong plus for the Heat.
Spurs now have best lineup used more than 250 minutes.

Miami has 2nd and third. Most of the top contenders have a lineup in the top 10. Chicago is close with a 14th place. NYK and Celtics have no lineup used over 250 minutes. Celtics have no lineup much above +4 per 100 possessions used over 50 minutes.
Rockets with all the changes have gone from a .515 win% last season to the current .531.Up +.016 %pts or a +3% change.

Memphis had the 3rd best lineup and used it the 2nd most. But are now reportedly talking about a trade that would break this powerful weapon up... You have to go back to 2010-11 to find a really good performing lineup without Gay tested over 50 minutes. That had Sam Young. Maybe they can keep a strong heaviest minute lineup without Gay but it would be a leap of faith and research.
Starters with Prince have since come around and are now slightly better than with Gay. The difference in their IPV values was less than 1 pt so the swap may not have been that scary / impactful. I guess the "gamble" worked out and the essential dynamics of the strong starting unit were not disrupted.

On Terry and the pick and pop:
"He posted his worst scoring average since his rookie season, giving Boston just 10.1 points per game in 26.9 minutes (also the lowest since his rookie season). Terry traditionally had been very good in pick-and-roll situations as the ball handler with an ability to knock down open shots off screens. This past season, he connected on only 38 percent of the shots he took in that same situation, according to Synergy Sports. His confidence seemed to dissipate throughout the season, showing only glimpses of the inspired play and shooting Boston had hoped to get from him."

I guess from his overall mid-range numbers he did better outside of the pick n' pop action that some hoped he would particularly thrive in at Boston with the surrounding cast there, though Rondo unexpectedly was out. Will have to see if next season is better, if he is still there and in a major way.
