I need him to start getting some consistent run so I can pick him up in fantasy.

Fwiw I picked him up in some sim leagues immediately after he went undrafted. I did not get value from that early support. On teams with coaches with ineffective methods, unwillingness to ride thru hardly any trial minutes. But some satisfaction now.

Another game with over 20 points.

Is there a team who would pay him as a starter next season? Can Wood get that or will he have to settle for more modest minutes & pay again? Probably not big money from the Pistons unless they trade Griffin or Drummond but I'd assume they'd be happy to retain him for modest or cheap. But will be decline?

Might they trade him? Perhaps some deal could be fashioned with TWolves, Spurs, Thunder or Jazz? Or other?

Strong RPM.

Wood Doumbouya bad in early minutes. May simply be either / or in lineups.

Worst offensive efficiency of season in January. Defense at or close to his best this month.

20 pts / 8 rebs tonight. Averaging 12 pts / 8 rebs over last 10 games. Up from less than 10 / 5 before.

Probably could have bigger stats on a worse or different weak team. Contender? I dunno / depends.

Pretty strong RPM. 12th highest for PFs. Was higher earlier though. A bit stronger on RAPM and LA-RAPM. Best on team for RAPM and LA-RAPM. Second to the small sample for R Jackson on RPM.

Pistons probably want to keep Wood but he should have several options this summer and may not stay unless the money is better.

With Andre Drummond out of the way, it looks like it's Christian Wood's time to shine! It also sounds like Detroit was turning down trade offers for him.

Last night against Oklahoma City, Wood had a tremendous game: 27 - 12 - 5 on good shooting percentages!

It's been a very long road, but I think his time has come.

"It's been a very long road, but I think his time has come."

Could his time have come sooner? I think so. How much sooner? I dunno. No coach or organization before Pistons was willing to playing him enough to find out. He probably caused this lack of trust to some degree but I blame the Coaches and organizations for not testing enough. Their losses. Losses that may have lost millions in value over salary, if not previously, going forward.
