New to APBRmetrics, just read Dean Oliver, have some q's

Hi all, I'm new here and new in general to advanced basketball metrics but am hoping to get more involved. I've just read Basketball on Paper, which I'm assuming most people on here have read and I was hoping I could have a few questions answered to help me get started:

1. Whatever happened to Dean Oliver's Project Defensive Scoresheet? Was this ever completed...and if not wouldn't there be a significant amount of error in defensive metrics given the lack of visibility in the box score of a player's true defensive performance?

2. Generally speaking, are there any metrics in Dean's book that are now considered outdated/obsolete? Are there any that are considered staples in the APBRmetrics world? In the book his formulas for individual Ortg and Drtg are quite complex, are these the formulas typically used today...I've seen what looks like some more simplified versions around the internet.

3. Lastly, where do I go from here? What are the go-to websites for advanced basketball metrics? Are there any books I should read next? I just picked up the Pro Basketball Prospectus 2011-2012, was that a good buy? I've heard people recommend the 2003 edition, is there any reason for that particular version?

Thanks all for the help!

2. I've never seen anyone use floor percentage. I've seen it listed a few times along with everything else BoP, but rarely.

According to their glossary Basketball-reference uses Dean's offensive and defensive rating formulas.
Given the formulas, OR misses a player's impact on team offense beyond assists and offensive rebounds (as all boxscore metrics do) and DR does not provided individualized shot defense.

3. There are other good places to find research these days but this place has more than anywhere else. Check the links thread if you need guidance to the other places.
