If you can re-sign Favors on decent contract, do it. In that circumstance, stay with the current core. Match on Ingram.

Insist Gentry agree to play the starters 20 minutes per game beginning with the re-start or fire him on the spot. And explain why this request wasn't presented before.

If you can't re-sign Favors, start Hayes and evaluate.

See where you are next February. If not in playoff contention, trade almost anybody, almost everybody (beyond Williamson - Ingram). That includes Holiday, Ball and Hart.

I would plan to move beyond almost everyone on roster and Coach in a year or two regardless. But try to make playoffs next season. If things go really well, then you might hold off on some changes. But not that many.

If things dont go well in re-start, there may be less reason to stay the course for next year. It could break either way. Not completely locked on either path for next season. But generally expected massive changes within 2 years. I am notfor re-signing Ball or Hart for big money. Might be some figure that works but not big.

Beyond the top 8, start making as many changes as you can immediately. Including using waivers and G league signings. Not just 1 or 2. 4 or more.

Gentry gone and appropriately so.

Griffin under pressure to make right coaching pick.

For all the talk of great promise, this might not get to good that quick.

Lots of player evaluations and fit evaluations to make.

Seems like Pelicans are going to get an alsoran Coach. Might be good but does not seem like it is the top job for the reputed top candidates.
