DeRozan, 62nd of 78 minute qualifiers on pure playoff BPM. 127th of 214 among all.
0 for 9 from 3, 41% efg, 48% ts%.
Trae Young, horrible as noted previously. 78th of 78 minute qualifiers on pure playoff BPM. Highest TO rate (among minute qualifiers) at over 27%.
Towns pulled to a low overall metric score by 20% TO rate.
Draymond 2nd on TO rate but doing other things well enough to 23rd among qualifiers on BPM.
Dillon Brooks 2nd worst on BPM among qualifiers. Conley 3rd worst. Durant 7th worst.
Patrick Williams 13th worst.
Huge turnaround for J Butler from his awful run last playoffs.
Kuminga slightly below average for all players on BPM. As is Andrew Wiggins. And Marcus Smart. And Herb Jones. Some might look better on other metrics.
Brandon Clarke 9th best qualifier but nawh Presti was not interested. He went for Bazley and a future 2nd.
Also in bottom 15% of qualifiers: the Raptors bets on Trent and Achuiwa and 2 more bench guys in bottom dozen of all players.
Same bottom 15% for A Gordon acquisition / extension. D Russell 7th worst qualifier.
Lots of big insider decisions not paying off.

Griz won first round series because of forced turnovers and offensive rebounding, despite being "outshot".
Griz outdid Warriors on forced turnovers. Warriors outshot Griz. Griz could not defensive rebound adequately.
I see major issues for Griz in future on shooting and possibly rebounding, especially if it ends being without Adams. Minutes distribution warrants some analysis.
Is Jaren Jackson going to be worth his future salary? I am skeptical. What will they do with Dillon Brooks? Retain K Anderson? They got this far but the going from here gets tougher.
Defense is built on only one above average factor.
Offense had 2 strengths (limiting own turnovers and offensive rebounding) but will they still have offensive rebounding as a strength in the future?

Stephen Curry won the inaugural WCF MVP Award, unanimously (7-0) I think I read.
I can't find a stat suggesting he was the top player in the series. Converting to 'wins':

Curry is the leader of a team that won 4-1 and easily. 25% higher scoring than any teammate and best 3pt fg%. There was no way the voters wouldn't pick him.
Doncic had boxscore but atrocious raw plus minus. If they had gone to game 7 maybe there would have a slight chance for him. But probably not for an inaugural award.

Personally, you could have gone Curry or Looney. I think if you simply look at total cumulative impact in the series, Looney’s performance in terms of rim-scoring, screening and paint defense was nearly the same as Curry’s overall contribution — an idea supported by the wins stats above, as well as plus-minus data.
So, while I wasn’t surprised he won Conf. FMVP, I didn’t expect it to be unanimous. I would suspect player stature/status (superstar vs. role player) and Curry “wrongfully” lacking an FMVP had something to do with it.
