Basketballreference is one of the better sites to look up player stats, but one stat that they don't have would be a players total team shot percentage.
What I mean by this is, if a player shoots 15 times in a game and the entire team shoots 85 times. That means the player who took 15 shots in the game took roughly 17.65% of the entire teams shots.
I just want to find where I could find these kinds of stats where a player would take XX% of the teams shots on XX% shooting. How many times would a team win/lose in this kind of situation...ect.
Been reading this fourm for a long time, had an old account but can't seem to recover it. =/
Player Total team shot %
Re: Player Total team shot %
If you want player % of team FGAs, here is one place / example page that has it:
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/LeB ... 967/stats/
There is pretty full information about player possessions too if you want to look at all player possessions instead of just FGAS.

Re: Player Total team shot %
Thanks, but it's a shame you can't search game by game. Thanks though!
Re: Player Total team shot %
For game by game I guess you'll just have to consult the boxscores.
Re: Player Total team shot %
You can look at a given player's Game Log for a given year --
http://www.basketball-reference.com/pla ... elog/2011/
Sort by FGA (click on the column header) and/or the W-L column.
Last year, in games when Rose took at least 27 FGA, the Bulls were 6-6.
This doesn't tell you the team's FGA, though.
You can toggle to 'advanced' and see that when Rose's Usg% was 39 or more, the Bulls were 3-6.
But that's cherry-picking. His season Usg% was 32.2
When it was higher than his avg, Bulls were 26-13. Below 32.2, they were 36-7
