Rolling Pace Stats?

Post by CappieP »

I know there are now a lot of sources to get the average number of possessions used by each NBA team. But is there a site where you can get this for a certain date range, or for "last 20"--something like that?

You can go to each team page at b-r.com
Go to Other/ Game Log; click Switch to Advanced Game Log
http://www.basketball-reference.com/tea ... 4/gamelog/

Click on the start date -- anywhere on a game line, other than a link -- and on end date. You'll get summary averages for that range of games.

Wow is that ever cool. Thank you.

Let me ask a related question. Is there a preformatted way to get a pace sort on all teams in a given period?

You could go here ... http://bkref.com/tiny/x1Fz0
... and calculate the pace.
Then double check a couple of the teams (as in previous post) for consistency?

Note that you must check Cumulative Season Games in the Team Game Search.
And then Select Range.

Over multiple seasons, it's easy:

You can adjust your time periods in the search.

Within season, it's harder; see Mike's post.
