NCAAB Rating Systems

Post by j-doug »

Hey all. Every year I do a piece on my blog comparing the performance of various rating systems in the NCAA Tourney. The following are the systems I compare. Are there others I should be tracking? I'll also be adding Massey this year.
  • FiveThirtyEight
  • LRMC Bayesian
  • HSRC's Survival Bracket
  • Pomeroy
  • Nolan Power Index
  • Sagarin
  • Sports Reference Ratings
  • Sonny Moore
  • RPI
  • Lunardi RPI
  • BPI
  • ESPN's Computer Ratings
  • ESPN's National Bracket
  • AP Postseason and Preseason Polls
  • USA Today Postseason and Preseason Polls
  • Vegas Odds
  • Chalk

Yeah, I guess. But I was indirectly suggesting team ratings formed from your player ratings.
