For Lakers I have Kobe as LVP and taking away Ws by playing more, and just not enough good players, Lou ranks as best at fringe top 80. They added some livable players like Hibbert, Bass, Russell, Randle, but they lost some of their most ok ones from last year too like Ellington, Wes Johnson, Davis, Lin

I said not that much above replacement level to bad - Young was the "best" player of that group. Yes, I's say he's not that much better than replacement level - & he's 30 so his projection doesn't see him getting better.

Not to overreact, but through the first few days, feels like my big misses will be IND (46, too high), SAC (31, too low), NOP (49, too high), DET (39, too low).

I say it's ok to include the BasketDork predictions, considering the predictions like HOU, MIL, DET, there are no signs the first few games made a difference

Well my 14 W NYK projection is not off to a good start, Fisher looks like he's adjusted with more running, more pick and roll, less WorstTriangleEver. But when the rookie MCW Sixers could start 3-0/4-1 and end up with the season they had, hard to panic too much (NYK also started 2-1 last year). Plus having lowest prediction on BKN is off to a good start so could break even on New York teams even if Knicks blast me

I had Brooklyn at 17 wins, fwiw. Knicks, 24 wins.

Thanks for the endorsement, Dr. Positivity ! Anyone object to including me? Scouts honor, I had them done a few days ago, but I also have 5 kiddos, and with all the school parades, costume parties and trick-or-treating, this morning was the first real down time I had to take a minute and post them. I'd thoroughly love the opportunity to see how my prognostic abilities stack up with some of you folks whose work I truly admire, along with other analytics heavyweights. It'd be an honor.

Out of curiosity, Dr. Positivity, did your predictions stem from the VEDS stat you introduced earlier this year?

BasketDork will have to live with an asterisk in any category that he wins.

At summer/fall I don't have much free time so I can't join these contests. However I look forward to this one more since many people used the same minute distribution. Last year there was only one PT entry if I remember right. I'm especially curious about how will the new PT entries do in the contest... I'm one of those that kinda agreed with this article on the subject of validity of SportVu data.
