Team contact information

Post by J.E. »

I am trying to put together a list of people working for NBA analytics departments, and their contact info. This site helps a bit, but seems somewhat out-dated.

A list of analytics departments + their contact info might be helpful to anyone of this forum who wants to apply with an NBA team in the future

So, if you have any team contact info that you can share, please do so.

(If, for some reason, you don't want to post the information for everyone to see, a DM or eMail to jeremias.engelmann@gmail.com would be highly appreciated)

Some teams put at least some info on their websites. I was able to look up a couple of people when I applied with the Hornets a bit ago, for example: http://www.nba.com/hornets/staff-directory . Presumably David Kaplan and Nick Repole are part of the analytics team, although I suppose they could be on the business side rather than the basketball side. Neither of them were who I was in touch with though, so either there's been turnover since then or the website doesn't list the entire group.

I also applied with the 76ers, but started a different job before I got far enough in the process to talk to anyone.

If you linked to a ok to write to spreadsheet, folks could see what you have and don't and might be more willing to fill sure gaps rather than perhaps spend time on duplication.

Thanks Michael. Noted.

Anyway J.E. - when I get my current big project about done, I will be contacting teams. If I start finding contact info you don't have, I'll definitely help you fill in some gaps.

Actually, if you end up posting a spreadsheet - I'll try to track down missing contact data. Let's give everyone a better shot at getting their work seen by teams.

The only contacts I've ever used are direct messages of gms & front office people who follow me on twitter. But - that only works if someone follows you, so it's only a small handful of people.

Oh, & I've played email tag with Mark Cuban before twitter.
