Yes, I used basketball reference. Does anything appear noticeably wrong?

No, though I just started looking.

I was mainly just saying that knowing the source is a nice thing. But BR infers position and they try to push players into the 5 boxes so it is not surprising that position distribution is close to an equal split into classical designations. It might be interesting to push players into 3 roles (PG, wing, big or interior) by their stats and see if there are any trends of players making shifts between roles / supra-positions.
