Strength of Schedule

Post by shock3 »

I'm doing a side project of evaluating junior college players for D1. I've collected the data from every team and ran their stats. My next step is to adjust their stats based on strength of schedule. I have no idea where to start with this. I haven't found much on strength of schedule calculations through Google.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The first few links seem adequate to me. I don't know more. If you wanna be different, do what makes sense to you.

You might check the explanation of SRS from basketball-reference, which uses a system designed for pro football.

This might be an option:

He also has SOS already calculated for all the Junior Colleges if that is the route you wanted to try.

Thanks for the replies.

I had never heard/seen the Massey Ratings before...first glance they look pretty good. Impressive they have every sport as well.
