Sloan '18

Looks like tickets still available, if interested, at general admissions plus and VIP levels only.

Anybody going to live blog or write articles about the basketball stuff? Link it here.

Don't think papers have been announced yet. Anyone in running?

Research papers http://www.sloansportsconference.com/ac ... s-posters/

There is deep research that can prompt major learning and performance gains and immediate research to better manage the now. Lineup management imo remains one of the least refined areas of management by results and it appears least refined by strategy and study too.

Very interesting read. Lineup management is something I've been struggling with since forever. Can't wait to start implementing some of these ideas.

Panels I've watched so far seem typical- short, surface, not that valuable (compared to just reading analytic work).

Anybody have notable personal basketball analytic experiences there to comment on? At official events or ad hoc?

Finished listening to all the Sloan 18 basketball panels. None above meh.

I value the research papers more. But as someone else said, there should be public and propriety data tracks. Not much chance to get picked when the winners have access to millions of exclusive data points.
