Clips

The Griffin trade surprised me. I assume Jerry West favored or concurred. Not a top 5 player as #1? Then move on.

But did he favor or concur with acquiring Gallinari? That seemed like an ill-advised move to me then and especially now if the plan was reset, young or led by another highly desired vet forward. But, yeah, they probably try to move Galo.

What about Doc? I'd think the chances they move on from him have increased. And Austin. What stays? Close to nothing but Harris (a young Curry like value building block? I.e. basic concept, not same talent level) and the added draft picks are wanted. Anything else could move.

Ballmer, Frank, West apparently deciding to go all the way on change. More fun, more upside potential.

For a team that wanted more attention, they didn't get that this season. This off-season? Probably not anything that good. More clean up, sure. Immediate positive developments? I doubt it. Mainly be subtraction.

I'd let Doc walk, hope Austin does too. Try to trade or let walk everybody else except Harrell and maybe Harris. With Harris it depends how fast you can rebuild. "Reload" is almost certainly a mistake if contention is seriously wanted.
