I have never heard anyone with a team say they have an analytic approach to consuming, processing NBA public news. I think there would be a number of ways to get more out of it than consuming what catches your eye and what you have time for. Perhaps teams do have public information strategies and just don't want to talk about it, like for injury databases. Perhaps they are mostly just ad hoc. Surely insiders share linksboth and forth. Maybe an intern or low level staff helps search and aggregate. Bit is it enough and processed enough?
What about cataloging player quotes for future reference and analysis by both coaches and psychologists?
What about tracking and mining trade machine ideas?
What about the overall blogosphere or even just more analytic spots?
Analytic approach to consuming, processing NBA news & information?
Re: Analytic approach to consuming, processing NBA news & information?
Another thing that teams, media or outside analysts could do would be to fact check "reports" by specific media for accuracy based on later reveals.
You can juggle it in your head or track it comprehensively.
