Box score stats still great thru 4 games with Pelicans. Raw on court and on / off have nosedived. RPM is still ok at barely below neutral though.
Under contract for next season. Not sure about guarantee.
At this point in sample size, box score stats have some validity, but the +/- numbers are basically just random noise. Need many hundreds of minutes to get stability in those stats.
RPM would be almost purely box score stats at this sample size.

With box score stats this good his poor on/off must be somewhat offsetting to make his RPM slightly negative. Maybe small sample regression to mean or replacement is doing a lot too but the raw on and on/off are so bad that they are probably having some affect.
It is still not enough NBA minutes to project the future with confidence. G league may be useful but it also may be not that useful and harmful if seen as a meaningful substitute to real NBA testing & development.
RAPM factors are obviously too small sample to be reliable but fwiw they don't show any big positive or negative. Defensive efg% is modest negative. Def ftr is modest positive but not quite offsetting. So he might not be getting out on shooters quite enough. Probably live with that. Let him play. Refine over next 500-1000 minutes.
His career game, included focused defense. In right spot, not leaving feet til right time. 6 blocks. Offense was great but not from trying wild stuff. Moved to right spots and shot or finished. He clearly can play well. Needs opportunity and taking advantage of it. Like he did in brief run in New Orleans.
