It must have been a forum bug of some sort. Nothing on the moderator or administrator logs.

I reported yesterday's site outage to Daniel and he reported it to Dean LaVergne (the site owner), who worked to resolve it with the web host. Thanks. I am told it was a bot attack. Hopefully not to return.
