I was wondering if anyone here has any information about personality or psychological testing that NBA teams might use in their drafting process.
I know that NFL teams have moved more in that direction but I hadn't heard much about NBA teams using similar strategies. Is there any specific information on what NFL teams use?

I recall a story about the Bulls considering Elton Brand.
Someone asked him, "If you're driving a car, and the stoplight turns yellow, do you hit the gas or the brake?"
And he said, "It depends on whether my mom is in the car".
Or something like that.

The Arizona Diamondbacks won a championship by using alpha male personalities as its go to depend upon players. I believe they invested heavy into Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling.
Some person in the organization had been providing a IQ test to players years before the Diamondbacks were an organization. He used passive - High IQ players that had a high loyalty to the places they played.
According to rumor the guy was fired in 2008, but he corresponded for years with Suns.
The team tried to acquire Kobe Bryant as its alpha male, but when it failed they acquired a high IQ player in Steve Nash.
The team that year discovered that Amare Stoudemire was becoming an alpha male in the locker room and no longer was seeking that player.
However, where this failed was in Shawn Marion and Joe Johnson neither was considered an everyday supportive no complain type player. The team ultimately allowed these two to leave.
I believe some of the other names were Grant Hill, Tim Duncan, Steve Nash, Paul Pierce, Pau Gasol, Ray Allen, and Dirk Nowitzki

There is at least one other person on this board probably involved in such activity. I won't directly name him and doubt he would be able to comment about it. But it is a probably an important and timely and challenging topic.
