Best players NOT in the NBA

Post by Bobbofitos »

Either on waivers, DLeague, over in Europe, etc.

Any thoughts? I'm curious about Chris Andersen, since he could start for a bunch of teams. For example, a team like the Celtics are CRYING OUT for a bigman who can play.

Among "free agents", I'd start with Kenyon Martin, based significantly on decent playoff performance, at least by boxscore metrics. Lots of playoff teams or close to playoff teams should be giving him active consideration.

Maybe just me, but I'd give Fesenko a 10 day lots of places (even though XRAPM doesn't like him as much as RAPM did).

I'd give CDRoberts at least a 10 day. If I was the Lakers I would do it now. I would have purged at least one deep bench guy already to send a message. Maybe several.

I'd give Varnado at least a tryout look / talk. Probably the same for Whiteside.

I didn't look at internationals. Wait til summer.
