Question on Brick Index

Post by martinezjose »

Dear all,

I have problems to find information regarding Brick Index. I have found the following formula:

BI = [(TS%league average - TS%player) * (FGA + (FTA*0.44))] / 40minutes

I would like to know if this is the correct formula proposed by Hollinger and if there are similar proposed indexes.

Thank you very much. Your reply will be highly helpful

I can't confirm for sure without ESPN insider access but I think that is right.

David Locke has done some related work on this topic.

earlier work may be buried in here

If you wanted / needed quotes / commentary on the topic, he might be willing. Usually isn't shy.
