But he's much better than he was after 12 games of his rookie season.
If this year his improvement from 12 games to the full season is half as much as the same progression last year:

But stopping at 6th best estimate in league is still great.

Thunder traded away Jerome in a salary dump move. After a good previous year, he plateaued and dipped at end. Thunder played 26 guys that year. Jerome, 5th best raw plus minus but 12th in minutes. Improper use? Tanking?

They had Joe and Waiters and incoming Jalen Williams. And Dort on a big salary jump. Did not feel they had to retain.

Good / steadily improving on Darko next season for crowded Warriors. But didn't retain.

Moved to Cleveland, presumably for more opportunity or just opportunity?

Paying off now, after knee injury.

What's next? Good chance another move. Unless Cavs make a good / perhaps big effort. More than the previous teams.


Is the process and results for letting a player go better or worse than for picking them initially? It is probably pretty good on average but "mistakes" can be glaring.

Of course it is a long season. See what Jerome does from here. In good context may have surprised defenses early. Some regression in November but still strong. Big jump in minutes is receding.

Only 9 games as a starter across career. Will any offer that? Cavs gave 2 spot starts to rest a starter for maintenance. At least 5 of those 9 were good+, 2 meh, maybe 2 bad. That is pretty good in limited test.


Waters let go in favor of big contract Joe and Wallace and Mitchell. See how that plays out comparatively. So far, ok I guess.
