Pre-season is not necessarily reliable for what is coming but here are some things I see in the stats:
Hawks defense continues to be horrible and that includes when Hunter and Collins play.
C Edwards can shoot but doesn't do much else.
Rozier and PJ Washington are doing well.
LaVine is hot. C White is getting bigger minutes than Satoransky and while I won't argue with trying to give him experience, Satoransky is part of far better raw team performance.
Cavs are weak pretty much everywhere.
Zingis is rusty.
Nuggets are not hitting 3s but opponents are not hitting any fgas.
C Wood should make Pistons.
Warriors can't shoot at team level or defend. Russell has by far worst raw on plus minus.
Westbrook is shooting poorly, has a 0.8 A/T0 and the second worst raw plus minus on team.
Jaren Jackson is not showing any sign of breaking out. Brandon Clarke is.
Herro is at top of Heat on offense.
Wiggins sucks badly.
Alexander-Walker is hot.
Knicks perimeter is weak.
A Gordon is off to a meh to weak start.
Sixers are not hitting the 3.
Suns presumed starters generally losing big. Bench doing pretty well.
Spurs 3pt rate is barely half of their opponents and it shows in the team efg%s and w-l.
SGA is getting very few assists.
Raptor must be playing fast. Scoring seems ok generally but the defense is terrible.
Mitchell, Conley and Bogdanovic all have terrible raw plus minus. And no wins yet.
Wizards are playing M Wagner and he is doing alright.
Pre-season stat trends
Re: Pre-season stat trends
The league is playing as young as it ever has, the avg on-court age now at 26.1 years.
It's been that young before, in 1983 and '77
Each time the league age dips, pace has peaked. The oldest year on record, 1999, age hit 27.9 and pace dipped to all-time low of 88.9
So this season, the 2 oldest teams -- Hou and Mil, both around 30 -- are among the 5 fastest paced.
FTA are at highest level in 14 years, partly due to the highest pace since the '70s.
FG% is currently lowest since 2004; 3FG% lowest since '99, and eFG% down .016 from last year's record.
TO%, if it stays where it is, would also be worst since '99. Overall ORtg is down 5.1 from last year!
High pace and worse shooting results in 46.5 Reb/G, most since the '70s.
OReb% is lowest ever.

League is also running 7 pounds lighter than the peak from 2011-13.

Re: Pre-season stat trends
Most of my pre-season notes are still right or close. Some shooters flipped from hot to cold or vice versa.

Re: Pre-season stat trends
Westbrook fix up is one of the biggest changes.
Re: Pre-season stat trends
Shot a have shifted away from Harden and towards Westbrook over 10 games.
Could be an issue in playoffs.
