Re: Deep Dive: Who's Stealing Defensive Rebounds?

Great work I had Brook Lopez as pegged a strong box out and defer type of rebounder, judging from Giannis ranking high on your rebound steal list I would guess the numbers support that? The Bucks became the best defensive rebounding team in the league when he joined despite a non spectacular history...

Re: RPM estimates

I believe Lowry had a big positive bump. If I remembered correctly his RPM had been looking only ok this year for his standards, now he is back to 10th in the league. Gasol fell a lot for centers (he is now 21st for centers, I think he had been top 5) and Ibaka rates as good in RPM at now 9th for ce...

Re: 2020 playoffs

Will teams tank to get to 6th/7th seed to avoid the Lakers bracket? And will Utah tank to avoid Houston in Rd 1 if it comes down to it?

Re: Reconstructing Box Plus/Minus

I've had the belief for many years that individual rebounds per game is overrated. Rebounding is valuable but rebounds per game as limited at telling you who's helping his team rebound the most as boxing out the opponent's best offensive rebounder can be more valuable than the guy who ends up with t...

Re: Next big trade possibilities

Who should be put on trade radar for summer / next season that wasn't there this season? Lowry was occasionally mentioned but wasnt expected to be traded. I dunno if he will be but the chance could go up, depending on playoffs, outside interest, asking price... Barnes? Lou Williams? Ball? Oladipo? ...

Re: Reconstructing Box Plus/Minus

Looks good

Interesting that Iverson and Rose’s MVP season numbers (6.1 for Iverson, 6.8 for Rose) appears to have gotten better despite the change hurting Westbrook.

Re: all star snubs?

Some lower minute centers on that list which could help the WS/48 if they are played in favourable matchups and have more energy Overall all star picks look good. Bledsoe has a gripe for the second straight year. 5th in RPM for PGs, good counting stats per 36, only thing he is missing is minutes. Wi...

Re: Improving the Timberwolves

So they trade Wiggins for the closest thing to a PG equivalent to him (Russell), while giving up a 1st to do it and weirdly trading the exact type of player you want beside Towns and Russell (Covington) a few days earlier in a different deal. Plus they gave up another 1st essentially for Beasley and...

Re: 2020 free agency

Center is not too bad. Gasol is 4th in RPM for Cs. Ibaka is down the list as usual, but has many more playoff reps than Drummond. The wings are the place to improve if anything (FVV who is listed as a “SG”, Powell, and Anunoby are all around 18-22 range for their position in RPM) Raptors will want t...

Would be surprised if Raptors didn’t leave enough capspace available for Giannis and Kawhi FA in 2021

Kawhi’s DRPM and defensive on/off look more like his DPOY years than 2017 and 2019 so far.

Re: RPM estimates

Biggest positive surprise would be Schroeder, I thought he was headed towards a non analytics friendly gunner type career before this year Anthony Davis is only 49th in the league - one spot behind Kanter D Graham is 34th overall. Post Grunfield era Wizards seemed to have made some decent small move...
